Christian started XLN in 2002 as a Telecoms provider after seeing the window of opportunity that Telecoms deregulation had created within the small business market. His aim was to champion small business by using the collective buying power of many thousands of otherwise disenfranchised businesses, to deliver meaningful savings and great customer service on essential services.
After expanding the product range, XLN now supplies telecoms, card processing and energy to 130,000 small businesses nationwide. XLN is one of the fastest growing companies in the UK and businesses such as hairdressers, newsagents and restaurants across the UK rely on XLN to save them money and keep their key services running. Christian led an MBO in 2008 with Palatine Private Equity and again in 2010 when ECI acquired a majority stake in the company.
Christian is the UK’s only serial entrepreneur to pick up the Ernst & Young, Entrepreneur of the Year award, twice. In 2006, after having been a finalist for 4 years running, Christian was the winner of the Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Technology and Communication in the London & South East Region. Remarkably, in 2010 he again won the London & South Region as well as the National Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Business Products and Services. As such, he was introduced to Ernst & Young’s prestigious Global Hall of Fame, an elite corps of men and women who have been recognized for their exceptional entrepreneurial achievements. He is one of only 13 individuals to be inducted into the Hall of Fame in the last 15 years.
More recently, Christian won the regional award (South East) for CEO of the Year in the BVCA Management Team Awards 2015.
In his spare time you’ll find Christian spending time with his family or on the golf course.
