Business broadband users ‘aware of advantages over mobile internet’

Business broadband users are aware of both the benefits and drawbacks of accessing the internet through business mobiles, an expert asserts.

Chris Marling, editor of Broadband Genie, claims that while these organisations are able to see the advantages that this form of access can present, they are also aware of whether it meets their own needs.

He says that recent steps taken by Swindon Borough Council that enable everybody in the region to use the web are significant.

"It is great to see a council with a forward-thinking attitudes acting on its instincts," he asserts.

Mr Marling says that this new option will give companies operating in the area a new option for accessing the web, "which can only be a good thing".

The local authority recently announced that it will be rolling out the scheme, which offers free internet connections, line rental and connection charges, although usage will be limited.

Its initiative will be switched on early next month and is hoped to encourage firms in the area to look at upgrading their business broadband to a faster speed.ADNFCR-2811-ID-19472770-ADNFCR
