Broadband customers switching to save
Recent research shows that more consumers are switching broadband providers in an effort to save on monthly bills.
Cashback network FroggyBank.co.uk conducted a study of more than half a million of its members. The survey revealed that between May and July 2008, the number of broadband switches had increased 8.5% on the same period last year.
The study also revealed that consumers are increasingly taking advantage of bundled broadband, which offers broadband along with other services, such as phone lines, at discounted rates. Statistics found that the number of consumers buying their broadband, TV and phone from the same company had increased by 7.5% on the same period last year.
Nadeem Azam, Marketing Manager of Froggybank said: “We have not yet reached the stage where people feel so poor that they will give up satellite TV or cut back on the number of calls and texts they make. But they are actively seeking out ways to cut the cost of staying online, connected and entertained.”
XLN Telecom bundles its business broadband to give customers discounted rates on both broadband and phone line packages. Premium business broadband costs just £19.99 per month with the XLN basic phone line plan.
